Biography

Carlos Masis, Born in Rivas Nicaragua, on April 1969

Artist, Drawer, Painter, Engraver, Ceramist, Graphic Designer, Specialist in Artistic Finishes

Carlos Masis started drawing at age 4 and painting at 6. At age 12, he moved to New Orleans due to political issues and began selling artwork. He moved to Florida when he was 16 years old, where his education in drawing and painting began. He attended classes at Miami Dade College and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Nearing the end of 1988 at the Art Institute is where he developed an interest in color coordination. In the early 90'S. went back home, where was educated in Psychology of Color, Shape and Art, by Professor Juan Ulloa. While painting in Nicaragua, Shared a studio with artists Eloy Ramirez and A. March. In May of 2000, he returned to Miami and enrolled once again in Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale majoring in Graphic Design. He also became involved in an independent study of Concept Development. Carlos Masis continues to consider education and research his primary tool in the pursuit of self-expression through his artwork.
